Archives: June 2009

I’ve going as long as I can remember. They started about the time my parents bought my mom’s house. Oh my, how it has changed over the years. From a few crafty artists around the parking lot, to 240 fine art artists spread over half the park.

For those who know me in person, my little luck charm ceramic sailboat necklace, came from an art festival many, many years ago. I think I was in preschool. We need not determine how long ago that was.

The weather was lovely, a little warm in the sun, but there a nice cool breeze and no rain. June can be a bit of an icky month in Northwest Ohio, when it rains it get muggy.

I love to go and walk around and look over everything. I could quite happily spend a lot of money there. If I could get my act together on setting up these WP sites I could also drum up a lot business, one artist actually shuttered when I asked if she had a website.

I admit to grabbing every business card, postcard and brochure I could find in in case I need them for any school projects and just to see what different ideas people have.

I wish I could have taken pictures of some of my favorites, but most of the artists don’t like that. I can’t blame them.

I took  few pictures of the festival:

I admit I never paid too much to the performances before. Buth these guys were kind of interesting to hear and watch.

They arranges the tents around the gardens so it gets a little jumbled; sometimes it is hard to tell where yo have been and where you haven’t.

I tried to take some pictures of flowers, but honestly my camera isn’t really designed for that.

A Portfolio is Up

Yes, it a link to my Picassa album. Not he most elegant solution, but it works and it better than nothing. And nothing is what I kept coming up with trying other programs.

I tried the programs my hosting offers on auto install, and I even got brave and tried to install a program to my hosting manually.

I will keep working on it, but with this I can focus on other things like making more art work and work an elegant solution when I have free time or something workable hits me over the head.

Chitchat

I think everything is coming along nicely. I had a busy week end so I didn’t get much done on the website. My sister was visiting and my son had a parade. Have I mentioned anywhere that my son plays the trombone in the Springfield HS Marching Band? I’ll have add all that in somewhere.

Next weekend in the Crosby Art Festival, I love to go there and walk around. So many wonderful artists. My mom lives next to the park, so I’ve been going to the art festival as long as I can remember. It has changed over the years, but it is always marvelous.

Warning Do Not Expose To CHOCOLATE!

I got a new version of an old design done and up at both Zazzle and Printfection. Warning do not expose to chocolate! I should be made to wear that everywhere.

Some of us are not to be trusted with chocolaty anything.

Welcome to The New Site! All shiny new with a complete set of new website bugs. ;)

This is a WordPress installation and I am still getting used it. I chose to go with content management system because eventually I will be able to spend less time updating (when I update), updating more often (becuase it will be easier), and include more features (because someone else does the programming).

I hope anyway. Right this second I wish to bang my head on may desk. I think giving flea baths to cats is more fun than learning new open source software.
